The Department of Electrical Measurements and Electrotechnical Materials currently consists of a total of 23 titular teachers, including 11 university professors, 6 associate professors, 4 lecturers. Beside them there are also 3 emeritus professors and 3 auxiliary employees. The main activity of the department is teaching, followed by scientific research and support activities. The main areas of research are related to the study of possibilities, methods, techniques and equipment for electric measurements of electrical and non-electric quantities, for the study and characterization of materials, biomaterials and nanomaterials with applications in electrical engineering, for monitoring of environmental parameters, electromagnetic compatibility and electromagnetic pollution.
The Department coordinates three study programs, 2 license programs and 1 master program:
License programs
Instrumentation and Data Acquisition, which specializes students in the design and exploitation of industrial and research instrumentation used for monitoring industrial or research systems and technological processes.
Applied Informatics in Electrical Engineering, which focuses on the formation of skills necessary for designing and using computer based electric equipments.
Master program
Environmental Information Systems for Environment Monitoring, whose mission is to train licensed graduates in the design and operation of industrial and research tools for monitoring environmental quality parameters.
